To access mail in AIMS, each mail-user must have a valid account in AIMS. User Information can be created by selecting the "Configuration" menu of AIMS - see screen image below.

Configuring users

Name : Name of the user as normally used.
Login Name : The name the mail-user is expected to enter while logging onto AIMS.
Password : The password that would authenticate the mail-user.
Allow Mail Download from Internet  : Check this option, if the user has an exclusive Internet mail-box.  All mail from this mail-box would be retrieved and stored in the local mail-box by AIMS, periodically.
Server : Name of the server that hosts the Internet mail.
Mail-box Password : The password for the mail-user's Internet mail-box.
Allow Mail Upload to Internet  : Check this option, the mail-user is then allowed to send mail to Internet mail users.
Server : This is the server that AIMS would use to upload Internet mail from the user.  It can be either a name or an IP address.
Mail-ID : The complete mail-id that the Internet mailer will reply
to.
