AIMS makes use of File Transfer Protocol to transfer messages to and from the Internet. The Administrator selects ' Transfer' tab to configure the transfer server. This configuration specifies the name of mail exchange server, username, password etc.

Configuring transfer Information

Server       : Name of the FTP Server that is going to act as a message exchange.
Username : Username in the FTP session, for connecting to the FTP server.
Password  : Password that must be supplied for the FTP session, in order to connect to the FTP server.
Directory   : The directory is the directory on the FTP server that is used for exchanging files.  A blank field indicates that it is the home directory for the FTP user on the FTP server.
